Come along to our Bouldering Taster Session at our local Climbing gym at Freeklime on Wednesday 24th September!
Whether you've been Climbing for years or never done it before... this session is open to EVERYONE!
We have two sessions to give everyone a chance to try out the facilities and walls, which are on a first come, first serve basis!
Session 1: 12-2pm
Session 2: 2-4pm
For each session, please meet us 15minutes earlier outside the SU Shop in Student Central Level 4 and we will walk down together!
When we get there, all new members will need to complete a Safety Waiver (Link Here: Waivers) and an induction to the centre. Once this is done, the committee will run you through a warm-up and then get you all climbing! If new to the centre, please complete the waiver before attending.
Freeklimg is a fantastic bouldering centre that is only a short walk away, with short walls which don't require ropes. It has lots of different routes for all climbing abilities to try, so there is something to test everyone! If you're scared of heights don;t worry, it's not too tall and you can climb as high as you like!
Wear comfortable sporty clothing, preferably not jeans. Footwear is provided so any shoes are fine. If you have your own climbing shoes, please bring them.
Bring a water bottle and some snacks, although they do sell some refreshments there as well.
