KRASACC (Kirklees Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling Centre

This charity provides specialised, professional, free support and counselling to women and men living in the Kirklees area, who are experiencing/have experienced rape, sexual violence or domestic violence/abuse.

PDVG (Pennine Domestic Violence Group)

This charity provides support, advice, information and safe accommodation to anyone affected by or experiencing domestic abuse. They have been in operation, delivering a range of specialist domestic abuse services, in Kirklees since 2002 when two long standing domestic abuse services merged. PDVG believes that everyone has the right to live free from all forms of abuse and have the right to be free from potential or actual harm. They offer refuge for survivors of abuse, a 24 hour helpline, outreach services, training courses, and volunteer opportunities.

Karma Nirvana

This charity provides support to is victims of honour-based abuse and forced marriage. They run a national helpline offering direct support and guidance to victims and professionals. Karma Nirvana provides training to the Police, NHS and Social Services. They also act as expert witnesses in court, speak out in schools and attend awareness-raising events nationally and internationally.

The Hazlehurst Centre is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) that offers free support and practical help to anyone in the West Yorkshire area that has experienced sexual abuse. Their service is completely confidential and you do not have to give any personal information in order to get help. If you would like to speak to someone we are available 24/7.

St Mary's Sexual Assault Referral Centre

St Mary's Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) provides a comprehensive and co-ordinated forensic, counselling and aftercare service to men, women and children living in the Greater Manchester and Cheshire area who have experienced rape or sexual assault, whether this has happened recently or in the past.

Hackenthorpe Lodge Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) provides a safe, discreet and caring environment to support people who have experienced rape or sexual assault. Solace is a place where you can come and talk in total confidence about the experience and receive much needed care and support from understanding professionals. Their services are available for women, men and children and they can provide help whether the police are involved or not.

IDAS

IDAS is the largest specialist charity in Yorkshire supporting anyone experiencing or affected by domestic abuse or sexual violence. Their services include refuge accommodation, community based support, peer mentoring, group work and access to a free, confidential out of hours’ helpline.

LDVS (Leeds Domestic Violence Service)

This charity offers a variety of services to support women, men and families experiencing domestic violence in Leeds. This includes regular, discreet drop-in services across the city, a 24 hour helpline, emergency accommodation, a community domestic violence team, and group support sessions. LDVS supports anyone experiencing domestic violence and abuse and actively encourages people from LGBT+ communities to access our support.

This charity offers a variety of services to support women, men and families experiencing domestic violence in Calderdale & Kirklees. This includes domestic abuse support services (including specialist services for children & families), a free counselling service, future planning advisors, specialist support for girls & young women (13-25), a lesbian and bisexual women's service and support group, and a number of drop-in sessions, support to women asylum seekers (and their children) and additional access to more specialist support groups.

This charity works to provide a range of services which offer direct support to survivors, ensuring that survivors know where they can go for help. They also help in spreading best practice in the support of survivors, working with others to increase the provision and effectiveness of support for survivors. The Freephone 24 Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline, run in partnership between Women's Aid and Refuge, is a national service for women experiencing domestic violence, their family, friends, colleagues and others calling on their behalf. The Helpline can give support, help and information over the telephone, wherever the caller might be in the country. The Helpline is staffed 24 hours a day by fully trained female helpline support workers and volunteers. All calls are completely confidential. Translation facilities for callers whose first language is not English, and a service for callers who are deaf or hard of hearing are available.

Stop it Now! UK & Ireland is a child sexual abuse prevention campaign and Helpline. It is run by the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, the only UK-wide child protection charity dedicated solely to reducing the risk of children being sexually abused. They support adults to play their part in prevention by providing sound information, educating members of the public, training those who work with children and families and running their Freephone confidential Helpline. The helpline is available to: adults worried about the sexual behaviour of other adults or children and young people, those worried about their own sexual thoughts or behaviour towards children (including those with concerns about their online behaviour), friends and relatives of people arrested for sexual offending (including internet offending), and any other adult with a concern about child sexual abuse - including survivors and professionals

Survivors UK

SurvivorsUK was established as a service for male survivors, to cater for people not provided for by other services. They are an inclusive service and welcome anyone who identifies as male, trans, non-binary, has identified as male in the past, or anyone who feels that they are the right fit for them. They provide a national helpline and both individual counselling and group work from their base in London.

TST (The Survivors Trust)

The Survivors Trust (TST) is a UK-wide national umbrella agency for 130 specialist organisations for support for the impact of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse throughout the UK and Ireland. They provide support and networking for member agencies; deliver accredited training; raise awareness about rape and sexual abuse and its effect on survivors, their supporters and society at large; promote effective responses to rape and sexual abuse on a local, regional and national level.

Mankind

The ManKind Initiative was the first charity in Great Britain to support male victims of domestic abuse (registered in 2001). Since then, they have been at the forefront of providing services and support for male victims and campaigning to ensure that male victims receive the support they need from other organisations. Their aim is to ensure all male victims of domestic abuse (and their children) are supported to enable them to escape from the situation they are in.
