What are the Activity Group Elections?

 

     

 

Below are the details for our Activity Group Elections, which will take place in Spring 2024.

How can I apply?

You can apply for positions on the committees of the Activity Groups that you're a member of from 12pm on Monday 18th March 2024. Applications will close at 5pm on Friday 29th March.

Details on where you apply will be sent out closer to the application opening date.

When can I vote?

Voting opens at 12pm on Monday 15th April 2024 and will close at 12pm on Thursday 18th April 2024.

Why should I vote?

It is important that all our activity groups are led by students who have been elected by their activity group members.

As a member of an activity group, you need to have your say in who runs your group for 2024-25.

How do I vote?

You can only vote in the elections for the activity groups that you’re a member of on our website.

The voting is done via our website. When voting opens a link will appear below.

Once logged in, any elections that you’re eligible to vote in will appear for you.

When are the results?

Results will be announced at 5pm on Friday 19^th April 2024.

The results will be sent out to the current committees of the groups, as well as all those who have stood in the election.

Following this, the activity group may choose to then publicly announce the results on social media.

If a current committee want to announce the results in a different way then please get in touch with your coordinator asap.

What happens next?

Following the results, there is a period of committee handover between May and June.

A coordinator will be in touch with the committees about these next steps following the results.

The exiting committee will finish their terms on 30/06/2024 and the new committees take over the running of the activity groups on 01/07/2024.
