Less talk, More Action!
ig @dobby4president

I'm currently serving as your Equity Officer, I'm a recent Journalism graduate and the previous Social Sec and then President of HUPFC. I'm passionate, very concerned with human-rights and I have a very strong sense of what is right and what is wrong. I'm outspoken when I need to defend others and I love getting to know people and hearing about different life experiences. So far I've had supporting evidence accepted, fought for trans rights in the gym, pushed charity work to our societies, started changing the emails you receive and so much more. I hope to carry this on :)

I'm very skilled with my words which is extremely important to advocate in meetings with the uni, I've had a successful year already and have experience with key departments. I have formed very strong relationships with staff in the union and the uni, and already have an awareness of the structures that exist here. I feel comfortable and confident in advocating and lobbying to get the best outcomes possible for students. I'm outgoing, friendly, easy to speak to, empathetic and always wanting to do better.

I would like to look at the leadership at the uni and see how students feel about the people representing us, I'd love for students to help shape new attendance processes, I want to push out my compassionate communications project further, to stop students receiving aggressive emails and I'd want to continue to show up and do my job well in meetings where I need to represent students, fighting in the student movement, addressing everyday issues and generally supporting students.

Unity is Diversity, Power is Unity
ig @hamzaa4president

I am an MSc Management with International Business student at the University of Huddersfield. I believe in student empowerment, unity and Inclusion. My vision is to bring students from different backgrounds together and ensure that every voice is heard and represented.

I believe our university community is strongest when every voice is heard. We come from different cultures, ideas, and experiences, and that diversity is our greatest strength. My goal as Student Union President is to bring everyone together, because when we stand united, we have the power to create real change for every student.

My agenda is to create a Friendly Environment campus  where every student feels heard, respected, and included. I want to strengthen the student voice, improve support for academics and well-being, and build a more connected campus community. By working together and embracing our diversity, we can turn our unity into the power that drives positive change for all students.

12 Months. 100% Student Focus.
ig @NathanKaye_SU

Hello, my name is Nathan Kaye (He/Him). I'm running for President and am in my second year studying Computer Science with Games Programming. I'm the President of the Student Advisory Council for the Computer Science and Engineering University, serve as a proud member in three society committees: President, Academic Games Design Society; Vice-President, Computer Science Society; Outreach Officer, BSL Society. I'm also an Academic Rep and work in the Students' Union Events and Retail Sector. I've helped run and stock the University shop, supported clearing campaigns, ensured student safety and hydration during HudCrawl, hosted multiple University Quiz Nights, and more.

I believe students should vote for me because I bring proven leadership, experience, and a genuine commitment to representing everyone. Through leading the Student Advisory Council, serving on multiple society committees, participating in focus groups and student voice initiatives, as well as working within the Students' Union, I have built strong relationships across the university and developed a clear understanding of effective student representation. I am approachable, capable, and dedicated to ensuring all students feel supported. My experience working with students, societies, and staff has developed in me the necessary skills and perspective to represent our community confidently and effectively.

I want to ensure all students have access to high-quality learning while keeping flexibility in mind. One area I'm passionate about is providing optional online attendance for lectures, so students can participate when they are unwell, managing commitments, or living remotely, without compromising the in-person experience. I also want to continue supporting the SU's excellent work in events, wellbeing, and student societies, ensuring that every student feels included and represented. By listening to student feedback and collaborating with staff, I will help make university life more accessible, inclusive, and supportive for everyone.

Experience . Understanding . Representation
ig @shufan4president

I'm Shufan Javaid, a 3rd(placement)-year BSc Information Technology student at the University of Huddersfield. During my time here, I've been actively involved across the student community as an Academic Representative, a Student Advisory Council member, a Students' Union Retail Assistant, and a University & International Student Ambassador. These roles have allowed me to work closely with students from different backgrounds and understand their everyday experiences on campus. Alongside my studies, I'm currently completing an IT placement, gaining organisational and problem-solving skills that I bring back into student leadership. I believe student representation should be practical, inclusive, and focused on real outcomes.

Students should vote for me because I bring both experience and understanding of student life at Huddersfield. Through my roles in the Students' Union, academic representation, and ambassador work, I've spent the last two years listening to students, supporting them, and working alongside staff to improve their experience. I've also developed strong organisation, communication, and teamwork skills through my professional placement. As President, I will focus on representing student voices clearly, building stronger opportunities for students, and ensuring the Students' Union continues to work for everyone across campus.

As President, I want to strengthen how student voices shape decisions at Huddersfield. My focus will be on improving representation, supporting employability and career opportunities, expanding engaging student activities, and promoting a stronger sense of community across campus. I also want to build on the positive initiatives already happening within the Students' Union by making them more visible, accessible, and impactful for all students. Most importantly, I want to ensure that the SU continues to work closely with students so that their experiences, concerns, and ideas lead to meaningful action.
