Good Morning Everyone, I am so pleased to say we had our first event for the Diagnostic Radiography Society recently and it was insightful. For starters, thank you to all the members of the society who attended, I really hope you learnt new information from the event. Just to fill anyone in, the event was two professional radiographers coming in and giving a talk. They made a wonderful powerpoint that had lots of useful information. As it is interview season for our fellow students in the health foundation year, this session was very useful as it discussed many pathways that you could go onto once becoming a radiographer. I found the session extremly useful as it described many pathways that could be pursued if I did not quite like the one I was studying. Another factor that I found useful was interview preparation. They gave some beneficial factors on what a student can do to stand out in their interview. Seeing the radiographers discuss their jobs was truly inspirational and they are truly my role model. It was fascinating to hear their stories of how they became successful and still wanted to study further. Most of all I and the other attendees where pleased with the little gift they gave us at the end of the session! Overall, it was an appealing event and I will most certianly host more in the future.
Thank You!
