T'HUD – Student Magazine Society

  • Thud su

What is T'HUD?

T'HUD is the University of Huddersfield's student magazine, but we're also much more than that!

It is your platform to express yourself. Unleash your inner journalist, graphic designer, photographer, content creator, and more. The list is endless. There are countless ways to get involved in our small but mighty community. Our members are what make this society; we’re by students, for students.

We're also not just exclusively for students enrolled in media or journalism courses, with our membership open to whoever wants to join our community. So if you have think we have a gap in our coverage, don't feel afraid to join or drop us an email.

What's involved?

For those already dead set on joining us this year and want to know what being a T'HUDDER is all about, there are two main roles we divide members into, writers and designers (you can take on more than one role if you're a keen multi-tasker)

Writers contribute to writing articles on our website (t-hud.org) and for the magazine and Designer are responsible for designing the look, feel and layout of the magazine

Every academic year, we release two physical magazines, which are an amazing way to celebrate the society and are disseminated throughout both University campuses

Co-President

Hiya!! I’m Emma Eldridge, one of the Co-Presidents of T’HUD. A bit about me is that I’m a 3rd year music journalism student with a passion for anything music related. I got involved with T'HUD because it gave me the opportunity to write about my interests in a supportive and encouraging environment. We are excited for new faces and new ideas for our student magazine so make sure to join T’HUD to become part of the family!!

We look forward to having people join our society and see your passions come to life!
