My big idea is to propose a Quiet Graduation to make our graduation ceremony accessible for all students, including those who are neurodiverse. Many students find traditional graduation ceremonies overwhelming due to loud music, sudden applause, and bright lights, which can cause significant anxiety and sensory overload. By introducing a separate, smaller ceremony with softer lighting, reduced noise, and a more intimate atmosphere, we can ensure that every student has the chance to truly celebrate their accomplishments in a way that works for them. This isn't just about a few students; it's about building a more inclusive and compassionate university community that values the well-being of all its members.
